Then the king was exceedingly glad, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. Daniel 6:23 WEB.
Daniel had spent a long night in a lion's den. The stench of rotting meat and lion poo had to be pretty intense in there. Daniel was just trying to serve God as best as he could in a foreign land, but his integrity caused his co-workers to despise and plot against him. Daniel was thrown into the lion's den for merely praying in his home.
His co-workers devised a plot to get rid of Daniel by feeding him to the lions. Yet, when the sun came up the next day, the lions hadn't touched Daniel. So the king set Daniel free, then fed his enemies to the hungry lions. Though the lions hadn't harmed Daniel, they feasted on his enemies while Daniel was promoted.
Once I had a personal revival where I was zealously serving God. I fasted and prayed daily for Him to remove anything holding me back from Him. Well, it didn't take long. Within a couple of weeks, my great-paying job as a foreman was gone. After my unemployment ran out, I had to take the worst job I ever had as a laborer in a brass polishing plant for one-third of the pay. Every day I went home as black as smut.
Yet, I knew He had put me there, so I served faithfully. Like the Apostle Paul, I tried to be content wherever He placed me (Philippians 4:11). It required serious humbling on my part. I started out sweeping the floor. In time I became the manager. There was a mini-revival that broke out in the plant, and several people got saved. Then, ever so gently, the Lord closed that down and placed me in my own business. I found myself using the skills He had taught me along the way.
You won't always be in a place that stinks. If you humble yourself and serve the Lord faithfully where He has placed you, He will raise you up. You aren't forgotten or unseen. In fact, your attitude in the stinky place is being watched closely by a great cloud of witnesses. So keep the best attitude you can, and keep thanking God, for He hasn't forgotten about you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know You haven't forgotten about me! I know You can see where I am today. Please give me the grace to get through this day and work your perfect will in my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Update .536: I added a new theme customization button to the top bar that allows you to tweak the colors and layout of the site! I also created some basic color choices with: Light, Dark, The Blues, Rose, Emerald, and Deep Purple. You can also change the look of the side bar or make it disappear altogether. 😱 There is a "Reset" button at the bottom to switch back to the default, so you cannot mess it up!
