God is my rock in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge. My savior, you save me from violence. 2 Samuel 22:3 WEB.
David sang this the day the Lord delivered him from all his enemies. Where others saw nothing, David could see the work of the Lord through the eyes of faith. When those around him didn't believe, David would tell them:
"I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. That's what works for me. Look at this dead giant head He gave me!"
Yet, David wouldn't have had anything to sing about if he hadn't lived through some pretty hard times first. You don't get the glory without living the story. You don't have a testimony without a test.
As with David, the Lord is there to help us, though it's usually invisible to our normal eye. He is an unshakable Rock, the Ancient of Days, the Living God. When we invite the Lord into our situation, it brings change. When God is on our side, no one can stand against us.
So don't struggle using your own strength. Invite the Lord into your situation. Ask Him to come and be a part of your day and help you with this. Don't become discouraged when it takes longer than you thought it would. David went through many afflictions, but God delivered him out of them all.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please come and be a part of my life today. I look to You, Lord. Save me from my enemies, and give me the wisdom to excel. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Note: Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:12-13) ~ If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network. If you are interested in joining the prayer team, here is how to get started Prayer Partners.
Update .536: I added a new theme customization button to the top bar that allows you to tweak the colors and layout of the site! I also created some basic color choices with: Light, Dark, The Blues, Rose, Emerald, and Deep Purple. You can also change the look of the side bar or make it disappear altogether. 😱 There is a "Reset" button at the bottom to switch back to the default, so you cannot mess it up!
Father in Heaven, you have rescued me so so many times and I’m blessed because even though I thought I was alone, you reminded me that you have a far greater plan that I couldn’t begin to understand. I thank you 🙏 for always being by my side even when I feel lowly and unsure of what may be around the corner! I praise you and worship you because like David said, “ YOU ARE MY ROCK AND MY REDEEMER!” Praise the Lord❤️!! In Jesus name I pray Alleluia ❤️🙏, Alleluia ❤️, Alleluia ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️!!
