When they came to Marah, they couldn't drink from the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore its name was called Marah. The people murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?" Then he cried to Yahweh. Yahweh showed him a tree, and he threw it into the waters, and the waters were made sweet. There he made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there he tested them. He said, "If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God's voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you." They came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees. They encamped there by the waters. Exodus 15:23-27 WEB.
When they arrived at Marah, the Israelites had been traveling for three days through a desert wasteland. The water at Marah was bitter (poisoned), and they could not drink it. Thirsty and without water, the camp soon began to grumble against Moses. After Moses prayed, the Lord showed him a tree that he threw into the water, and it became sweet.
After the bitter water of Mara, their very next stop was Elim, where there were twelve springs of water. An abundance of water. More than they needed. There was a spring for each of the twelve tribes of Israel. There were also seventy palm trees so they could rest in the shade. They had found an oasis in the desert.
Their test this time was no water in sight, but their breakthrough was right around the corner. The next trial the Israelites faced was no food in sight, though an abundance was just around the corner. Do you see the pattern? Each time they were near their breaking point, they were right before breaking through with an abundance.
So don't give up when what you need is not in sight; it is just a test of your faith. Each time you are close to a breakthrough, you will be given a chance to trust God or to murmur and complain. The pressure comes on strong when all you need is just around the next corner.

Praying for you, Kathi.
I know how scary it is waiting for results of a biopsy. I recently had something that looked like a freckle on my thigh, although after a time it looked like a beauty mark. I went to the dermatologist and a biopsy was done. It was a melanoma. Fortunately, it is stage 1A, and was removed 2 weeks ago. 11 sutures! I will have the sutures removed tomorrow. Now, every 3 months I am to have complete skin checks. Up until now, I have been completely healthy! I pray to God that no other melanomas will be found! Somehow, I find that God gave me the strength to calmly go through this ordeal. I will keep you in my prayers, Kathi.

Very sweet! Lil Princess looks a lot like my Samson used to look like. His mom was siamese, and his dad a tomcat. Unplanned pregnancy. He turned out to be a ragdoll! He lived until he was 12, and his sweetheart, Delilah, just died at the end of May. She was just 1 month shy of 18! She was a tabby. I have been searching for another siamese mix kitten, hoping it will be a ragdoll. I would like to take that one and it's litter mate so that they can grow up together. I also need to have them very young, around 8 weeks old, so they can get used to my 3 year old goldendoodle, Rusty. He grew up with Delilah, so I believe he will do fine with the kittens. Your three cats are beautiful!

Mine's like the one on the right too. 😀
Good Wednesday morning all... I'm asking you for prayers this morning. I contracted covid. I have a very compromised immune system so I try extra hard to protect myself by wear a mask whenever I go out and using hand sanitizer. But I got it anyway. This is the first time I have gotten it since it came to the U.S. I completed my paxlovid treatment and took a covid test at home last night. I'm still testing positive. I'm praying that my complete healing is right around the corner. I'm praying to stay strong in my faith. I'm trying to hold on with all my might. God is good. I know that He wants what is best for me, and that is to be healed from this relentless virus. Thank you Jesus for Your Healing Love... 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 And thank you all for your prayers... 🙏🏼

Praying for you, Valeri.
Valeri, I got covid for the first time a couple of months ago. I was quite shocked, because all I thought all I had was steep throat, which I did not have. I did take the Paxlovid, stayed in, and rested, as prescribed. The interesting thing was that during this time, Edison let me know they would turn off the electricity in my neighborhood for 24 hours. I have a well, which means that I would have no running water, either! I was frantic, because temperatures were in the 100's and I had to stay inside. I was worried about my dog, and especially about my pond fish, that would not get oxygenated water! I called Edison and told them my concern, that I had covid and I am stranded. Surprisingly, I spoke with a compassionate lady, who ordered some kind of huge generator to control everything!!! I had electricity!!! God is so good! He took care of me! He also healed my covid! Just rest and know that God will take care of you, too! He knows what is best for you.

Valeri, I'm praying with you, for your complete healing in your immune system, and for covid be nonexistent also, right around the corner for you! That your faith, body and emotions remain strong, leaning on God's strength, while thanking God, knowing He is able to do all things when we ask and believe. Luke 6:38 Matt 7:7-8

Dear Valeri, our Lord and God, our Heavenly Father, cares about you, your body, soul, mind and spirit, HE loves you and cares so much about you, and only wants the best for you, there's so much going on in this world now that cannot be explained including Covid, which I believe was and is "manmade" and then set lose upon mankind! But our God is greater than everything, we have to put our entire trust in Him, and him alone!! It says in James 5:13 that a prayer spoken in faith will make a sick person well, I believe that, however, that could also include overall well being such as letting go of worries and stress, and getting enough rest! So, here I'm joining each and everyone in asking our Lord and God to heal and strengthen you in the holy name of Jesus, Amen and Amen!!!
