When I was about twenty years old, the Lord spoke to me through one of His prophets and told me I would be in the ministry one day. He said the Lord wanted me to prepare myself. I received the same word at least three times through three different people. I was excited, so I started attending a nearby bible college at night after work.
Eventually, I graduated and got ordained but found every door in ministry supernaturally closed. If I did get invited to speak at a church, they would usually cancel it the night before. I ended up working at various day jobs for the next twenty years. But I spent most of my time working with computers, networking, programming, and server technology.
As the years passed, I forgot about the ministry and focused on our computer business. I had many excuses for why the Lord never chose to use me. Perhaps I had misunderstood Him or sinned one too many times. I had undoubtedly given Him enough reasons to change His mind. Long after I had forgotten what the Lord had told me, He suddenly pushed me into the ministry like livestock through a loading chute.
Twenty years had passed, and then within a week, I suddenly found myself as a pastor. Now I use the skills that I learned in my past for the Lord. Even though I had graduated from bible college, He was not done with my schooling.
What the Lord has told you will come to pass, and you can build your life on it. The things that you are doing today are preparing you for tomorrow. There is no way we could do the things we do here today without the experience He gave me while working in technology.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know You have a plan for my life. Please reveal it to me in a way that I understand. Help me get in tune with You and give me a clear vision. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Dear Dion,
I Can so easily relate as I wanted to be be a Missionary when I was a young Altar boy, but didn't Come to fruition until age 52 when my wife of 30 years and I were licensed as missionaries and led to Hawaii!!!

AMEN!!! The Lord works in mysterious ways, our lives are like bits and pieces of a giant puzzle, and if we let HIM He'll put all the pieces together to a perfect fit according to His perfect will, let us all just trust Him and wait on Him in patience!!! 🙏

well Lord this is exactly what I’m talking about. I just prayed an awesome prayer and w my bad vision I hit wrong thing and it deleted. Lord Jesus I need a miracle! Forgive me my sins and heal me for Your Namesake. I am not effective for You these days. Father restore my vision and memory. Im just here wasting time. This has been my life past 20 years. Desire on my part. Reading and praying but You haven’t done Your part. I simply can not serve you like this. So if I’m used up? Ok. I’m asking you to take away the desire I have to serve you effectively. Honestly it’s like you don’t want to use me …and if that’s it…ok. Maybe my sins were too much! I as sure a you called me to be a pastor 40 years ago, but you didn’t heal my memory from my concussion, but you didn’t heal my memory so I can’t remember scripture. Iv repented of everything I can think of over and over and over. I did what your word says but nothing from You. You occasionally move and I thank you for those times. My life is done to just thanking you for each day, as hard as most days are. I try to glorify you. I won’t stop doing that. But I’m wasting time just existing. Seems like every desire I have had to serve you has not come to pass. I know I’m not here just to waste time. But if you don’t do Your part and heal me some.. I’m useless. I’m not asking for total healing. Just enough so I can think straight and pray effectively. Father it is like you just dont want to use me. If that is true then ok.. Your word says Your grace is sufficient. Here I am Lord. Here I am. I love you Jesus. Thank you Father for this day and for this life, as miserable as it is most of time.li thank you. I won’t stop praising you. Open my spiritual eyes and ears so I can see and hear you clearly. I ask for Godly wisdom and understanding. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen
