Let us acknowledge Yahweh. Let us press on to know Yahweh. As surely as the sun rises, Yahweh will appear. He will come to us like the rain, Like the spring rain that waters the earth. Hosea 6:3 WEB.
During the long hot summer in the south, the fields can sometimes get so dry the crops appear dead. A good rain shower is one thing they need to restore life and make everything alright. Once the rain comes, the fields quickly spring back to life. The plants start growing again.
There was a season in my life when I became borderline burnout. We had overly served at church for several years, and it was just too much of a good thing. The harvest was plentiful, but the laborers were indeed few, and most of those seemed lazy. It became a dry and cynical time in my life.
Some friends invited us to a Christian conference about three hours away, and we reluctantly agreed to go. The conference lasted for three days. On the first day, we joined the meeting, and it opened with great praise and worship, followed by an anointed message. By the end of the day, I was feeling some better.
The second day was the same. Soon I began to feel something inside of me coming back to life, like a fire being breathed on. By the end of the third day, I was completely refreshed. I had a renewed vision for our life and a fresh word from the Lord. I left that conference walking on air, refreshed, and thrilled to be alive. I caught fire in His abundant rain.
In scripture, God's presence is often compared to rain on a dry and thirsty land. It is the one thing that can bring healing, satisfaction, and life where there is none. Hopes and dreams thought to be long dead will suddenly spring back to life. There is nothing else like being in the presence of the Lord.
Our lives can get so busy, so full, yet at the same time, be so empty. Only one thing will make everything right: Spending time in the Lord's presence. As we spend time with Him, He makes the rest work out for us. He gives us clarity and fills the emptiness. It is like replenishing rain on the parched ground.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please send Your rain on me. Rekindle the fire within me and breathe Your presence on my life Lord. I want more of You. I want to actually live it and not just talk about it. May Your will be done in my life as it is in heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Great message. As I reflect on this I think about the times that I was down and distraught. I always lean on God, but the down times are special conversations with Him. He also brings me back to a good place mentally. He reminds me how good my life really is. Thank you God. I love God and Jesus our savior. ❤️
