Ezekiel 3:1-3: And He said to me, son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the house of Israel. So I opened my mouth, and He gave me the scroll to eat. Then He said to me, Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it. So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth.
Jeremiah 15:16: When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my hearts delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God Almighty.
The word of God is real food. We have to find time every day to eat and feast from His word, or we may become hungry and starve. Jesus told us that we must eat from His body and drink from His blood, and so we know that it is important to feed on the perfect word of God. Jesus is after all, the word made flesh. When we take time to digest the word of God, we fill ourselves on the truth, the sustenance of our very being. If you suffer from anything, most likely you will find something to cure you in the word of God. Find the truth in what He says about you, and not what the world says about you. When we focus our being on the living word of God, we will be transformed into the abundance that He has for us all.
If you have a financial lack, look at Jeremiah 29:11, and John 10:10. Have trouble with sickness? Look at Isaiah 53:5, Psalm 30:2, and 1 Peter 2:24. Having trouble with falling asleep at night? Look at Psalm 4:8. What about fear? Look at 2 Timothy 1:7. Need protection? Look at Psalm 91. Afraid about sin? Look at Hebrews 8:12. Worried that someone is a better Christian than you? Look at Ephesians 2:9. Been betrayed? Look at Psalm 147:3, Romans 8:28, or Psalm 46:1. Worried about dying early in life? Look at Psalm 91:16, Proverbs 3:2, and Ephesians 6:3. How about a secret addiction? Psalm 107:14, Isaiah 9:4-7, and Romans 6:18. How about fear of condemnation? Look at Romans 8:1-2, and Galatians 3:13.
Every single issue you may face in this life is addressed and dealt with in the body of Jesus Christ. We have to recognize that Jesus is literally the cure to everything we face. We have been taught to work hard, do right, do this, don't do that, but the truth is, the word made flesh is what we have to look to for everything. The more we ingest Him, the more free we will be in this life. We will no longer carry around anything that does not belong in our lives. We just have to be focused on Jesus in every form available to us. Read the word, take communion whenever possible, pray, and listen for Him to talk with you in quiet time. Quiet yourself, and wait for Him to direct your every step and you will never find yourself in a situation that has not been dealt with hundreds of times already in the word of God, the living breathing word of God, Jesus Christ.
