He told them this parable. 'Which of you men, if you had one hundred sheep, and lost one of them, wouldn't leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one that was lost, until he found it?' Luke 15:3 WEB
One night I had a very vivid dream where a person who had attended our church was hurt and had huge sores on their body, but I had a jar of salve that would heal them. When I convinced them to let me help, I rubbed the salve over their sores, and they were so touched that someone cared enough to seek them out, that they began weeping.
Confused about the dream, but noting that I had not seen them for a while, I decided that I would call them up and invite them out to dinner. They agreed and over a long dinner I learned that they had been hurt over a simple misunderstanding at church. No one involved meant anyone harm, but they had withdrawn, thinking the worst. I knew everyone involved and was able to explain, pray for them, and it brought healing to the relationship. They returned to church and everything was fine.
God does not toss people away. He actively seeks out the lost and the wounded, and He will use you to do it. You are His body on the Earth. He will heal people through you, and speak through you, but you have to be willing to go.
God does not want to lose anyone, but we all have a free will and can push Him away, and those that He sends to us. The ones that He wants to send, do not have to go at all. Truly the harvest is great, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37).
Let God love you, and through you. Don't let the one He has placed on your heart slip through the cracks like so many others. Work with Him to bring in the harvest. Go after the lost and the wounded, when He brings them to your remembrance, and He will back you up.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please show me the lost and give me Your words to comfort them. Help me see them through Your eyes. Guide me, teach me, use me on this earth, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.
