Also delight yourself in Yahweh, And he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:4 WEB.
Many years ago, I bought a new graphics card for my computer. It had the newly released Digital Visual Interface port. DVI had just come out, and it was now possible to connect a computer to a high-definition television. So you could use a tv like a giant monitor. I have always been intrigued by electronics and gadgets. So the thought of computer gaming on a big-screen television was something I wanted to try.
My computer had a DVI output, and our television had an HDMI input. So to make this work, I would need a DVI to HDMI converter cable. At the time, this was cutting-edge technology. I had never actually seen a cable like this, but I knew they existed.
One morning before I set out to work, I was searching for the converter on the Internet. I found one for $40 plus shipping, but I decided not to buy it. It was not really a need, just something I wanted to play with, and $40 was a lot for a cable at the time.
Our first client of the day was an insurance company who had some computer issues. After we arrived, we spoke with the manager about what needed to be done. While we were talking, he reached into his desk drawer and tossed a cable on the desk. It was new, unopened, and still in the plastic package. Then he said:
"I bought this a while back, and I don't even know what it is or why I bought it. Maybe you can use it."
It was a brand new DVI to HDMI converter cable in an unopened package. He had bought it for me and didn't even know it. I just laughed and thought that God is better to me than I am to myself. I am so thankful for the little things He does in our life. Seek the kingdom of God first, and all these things shall be added to you (Luke 12:31).
Many times in my life, I have been happily serving the Lord, and suddenly something incredible happened that I had not prayed about or even mentioned to anyone. Things that were too trivial to pray about came to pass. I call them mini-miracles. I encourage you today: Get lost in the Lord's goodness. He is so awesome in every way, and He will take care of you. If it matters to you, it matters to Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You and want to experience more of You in my life outside of the church walls. I want to see You working in my life every day. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
Note: For those following the Creation Photography weekly challenges, here is this week's theme from group leader, Dianna Wyles: Psalms 104:24 "How many are your works, LORD! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures." ~ We have choices this week! 'Naturally Nature' or 'All God's Creatures' will be our fun-filled, always open for creative interpretation theme choices. Nature is all around and God creatures are everywhere so have fun and get creative with this one. My photos this week include just a few of my favorite creature captures - some old shots and some new. Birds are probably my favorite creature next to humans but I think that super cool praying mantis might run a close second. I can't wait to see your photos too! Have an amazing week y'all ~ God bless! Here is the link: Creation Photographers
